Understanding WebKnow Internet Statistics:
WebKnow internet statistics are a representation of the computer and web environments
used by people who visit websites.
WebKnow internet statistics do not represent computers that are not used to visit
websites. For example, a web server does not visit websites, even though it is connected
to the internet.
WebKnow statistics are provided in aggregate, and do not model industry-specific
trends or correlations.
While one website may attract more women than men, and another website may attract
a younger audience vs. an older, WebKnow does not consider these differences. WebKnow
internet statistics considers all website, and attempts to provide web and internet

WebKnow provides online resources for various Internet and Web based statistics.
The intent of WebKnow is to assist web design, internet marketing and other related
technology companies in understanding their web audience in aggregate. While every
website has its own unique audience demographics, WebKnow attempts to look beyond
micro industries to see the bigger picture. WebKnow provides a reasonably accurate
snap-shot of US based internet web traffic, for non-mobile websites.
Who is Behind WebKnow?
WebKnow was created by SharpNET Solutions, an internet marketing and
web design company. From the nature of our business, SharpNET has access to detailed
web tracking trends representing hundreds of thousands of unique visitors per month.
WebKnow is a compilation of that data, and is a statically viable representation
of general US-based internet activities... we think.
How accurate is WebKnow?
We wouldn't recommend using WebKnow data to fly to Mars, however it will provide
a good representation of the internet capabilities of the general US population.
Mathematically speaking, most of our data meets a 99% confidence level, and a confidence
interval of +-1.2%. That is, at least, assuming we did the math right. We don't
claim to be mathematicians either; we're really just a bunch of marketing guys.
Use of WebKnow Data
WebKnow data can be used free of charge. We do ask that if you publish WebKnow data,
be it in print or online, that you provide a reference to webknow.com (such as a
hyperlink). Common courtesy is all that we ask for.
